The High Altar: The altar stone was located at Stephen’s House, Oxford by the previous Parish Priest, Fr Graham Rainford. When the Cowley Fathers Monastery closed around 1980 the altar stone, by tradition was buried in the garden at St Stephen’s House. Fr Rainford had the stone excavated and brought for use at St Christopher’s.

Behind the altar is the main east window depicting the descent of the Holy Spirit and on the window ledge is a beautiful statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Atelier d’Art, the Sisters of Bethlehem.
